One challenge with purchasing meat in large quantities is that you may get sick of the same old cuts or not know what to do with certain cuts.
For example, with a quarter of a beef you might get around 5-7 chuck roasts along with a handful of rump roasts, arm roasts, and sirloin tip roasts. Now if you love a good pot roast then you are in heaven! If you need a little more variety in your life here are a couple suggestions:
- Beef & Broccoli in the Crockpot – This is so simple to make in the crock pot and serve over rice. It gives you the feel of take-out without leaving the house.
- Here is a recipe that we like to use: https://www.familycookbookproject.com/recipe/2916128/take-out-fake-out-beef--broccoli-crockpot.html
- Gyros – I know, this is not something I would typically think to make with a chuck roast, but I would encourage you to give it a try. It is so tender and flavorful and who doesn’t like a meal you can eat in a pita!

- Burrito Bowls - These are delicious and each person in your family can make them the way they like.
